Chicago Housing Authority Senior Housing Renovation Program

CTE was one of the Primary Design Consultants for the renovation of senior housing units under the administration of the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA). Fifty-eight buildings were renovated under this program, and the overall budget was $350 million.  As a Primary Design Consultant, CTE had program management responsibilities for the six senior housing buildings containing 912 units. CTE inspected the units and the buildings, coordinated with the CHA’s Private Property Managers on deficiencies, developed categories of work and budgets, prepared the design for the renovation, generated cost estimates, issued construction documents, oversaw the renovation construction effort, developed punch lists, and certified substantial completion.
