CTA Brown Line Expansion and Clark Junction

CTE is the Construction Manager for the rehabilitation of the CTA Brown Line and Clark Junction elevated rail rapid transit line. Improvements include: stations/facilities, trackwork, traction power, signals and communication. The project has a total budget of $534 million and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2008. Construction work will involve renewal and expansion of 18 stations, increased capacity of the traction power system to allow 8-car operation from the present 6-car operation, trackwork to increase operational efficiency, and substantial upgrade of the signal and communications network.
