Pittsburgh International Airport
CTE provided complete preliminary and final design for the rehabilitation of Runway 10L/28R and the rehabilitation of Taxiways F and P. As part of this assignment, CTE conducted a pavement evaluation and submitted a report recommending the most economical rehabilitation method. CTE's recommendation and design for Runway 10L/28R included milling and overlaying approximately 7,000 feet of 6-inch bituminous concrete pavement, including high speed turnouts; transformer and lamp replacement of runway shoulder lighting, including upgrades to meet FAA requirements; and crack and joint repairs. CTE also prepared estimates of cost for this design work and developed construction phasing plans which maintained efficient airport operations during construction.
